Tryano is a luxury retail destination spanning 15,000m², designed as a surreal and immersive environment inspired by the geometry and drama of French and English formal gardens. The concept, known as "the garden of imagination" guided the spatial planning, materiality and narrative throughout the store, transforming a vast retail footprint into a series of playful and theatrical experiences.

The concept, known as "the garden of imagination" guided the spatial planning, materiality and narrative throughout the store, transforming a vast retail footprint into a series of playful and theatrical experiences.
During my role as Interior Designer at HMKM, I worked as part of a small, dedicated design team to develop concepts for the store’s many departments and concessions. This narrative approach informed everything from floor pattern and fixture design to folly-like pop-ups, a children's carousel and immersive entertainment elements. The result was an almost otherworldly interior, rich in materiality, layered in detail, and enhanced by digital touch-points (developed with Kin Design) that encouraged customer interaction and engagement.
