Worked with i29 interior architects on the detailed design of Restaurant Felix, part of the Felix Meritis cultural venue. Developed the interior in depth, from seating arrangements and custom furniture to lighting and bar design, building on the earlier conceptual research of the building’s layered history.

Role:

Restaurant Felix forms part of the renovated Felix Meritis building on Keizersgracht, a cultural landmark originally opened in 1788. The interior design of the restaurant drew on the building’s historical narratives while establishing a contemporary dining environment within its restored architecture.
My role focused on taking the conceptual framework into detailed design. This included developing seating arrangements, designing custom furniture and lighting and resolving bar details to ensure both functionality and atmosphere. Each design element was guided by the broader narrative of the building, creating a restaurant interior that respects the history of Felix Meritis while offering a distinct and modern dining experience.

Key Focus Areas:

Restaurant interior design • Guest experience design • Seating layouts • Custom furniture design • Lighting design • Bar details and finishes • Heritage-informed design • Integration with historic architecture
